Interim manager Rob Page told the official Port Vale website’s Valiant Player that he was “bitterly disappointed” after Vale could only draw at home with ten-man Scunthorpe.

“Things weren’t working for us. We tried to play in the wrong areas at times.
“Unfortunately, we got a little bit deeper, conceded a silly free-kick, we allowed them to get the ball in the box, we’ve not got tight and it’s two-all.
“It’s hard to accept at this moment in time.”
