Adams named as Tranmere boss
Former Port Vale boss Micky Adams has been announced as the new Tranmere Rovers manager.
Tranmere sacked manager Rob Edwards after the club slumped to the bottom of the League Two table.
Adams left Vale in September after a run of six straight defeats. He was in his second spell as Vale manager during which time he led the club to a “miraculous” promotion during the 2012/13 season.
Adams told the press: “There’s a lot of hard work ahead but it’s a challenge I’m relishing.”
