Vale set to make changes
Manager Micky Adams is set to make changes to his Vale side after the disappointing home defeat to Notts County.
Vale face Cardiff City in the league cup on Tuesday evening and the likes of Colin Daniel, Steve Jennings, Louis Dodds, Michael Brown and Ryan Lloyd may all come into contention for a starting place.
The Vale boss believes Byron Moore is not quite ready for a starting place but the winger may be an option from the bench.
Adams told the Sentinel: “We were always going to make changes against Cardiff. Some players have not had a game since Southport away, so that is dangerous just in case we need them.
“It could be that we make changes and I make no apologies for that. But we have always said that we have a good squad.
“If it is a good squad then we will go out there and prove that they are worthy of a starting place for Chesterfield.”
