Moore moves closer to Vale return
Port Vale have revealed that winger Byron Moore is back in full training although he could still be five weeks away from a first-team return.
The Valiants correctly gave Moore unlimited compassionate leave following the tragic death of his brother and the winger understandably missed all of Vale’s pre-season routine.
The Vale reckon that Moore needs four to five weeks of training to regain his fitness but manager Micky Adams commented: “It is catch-up in terms of fitness, but we are trying to get as much work into him as we possibly can.
I think he has a great feel for a football. He is smooth with his movements and I can’t wait to get him out there…
“He has joined in with the boys this week and done all the football training. To be fair I like what I see.

The Vale’s treatment of Moore has been exemplary and the club deserve much credit for the way that they have handled Moore’s situation.
