Adams hopeful of upturn in form
Following the defeat to Cardiff City in the league cup, manager Micky Adams says that his side are “not too far away from being a decent side”.
Vale were arguably unlucky not to take something from the game against Notts County while they scored twice against Championship opposition on Tuesday night.
After the game, Adams said: “As I’ve said to the players, we’re disappointed we’ve not progressed in the cup, but the bread and butter is the league.
“We’ve got an important game on Saturday and we want to get back to winning ways.
“We’ve now lost our last two but I think we’re not too far away from being a decent side.
“If we can put it all together in one game we’ll be ok.”
