Rumour: Vale linked with striker
The Sentinel claims that Port Vale could be interested in Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Slew.
Editorial Note
This feature contains rumour and speculation. All of these rumours should be treated as unconfirmed gossip until any move is officially announced by the club itself. We make no apologies for publishing some rumour and gossip (after all, even the state broadcaster, the BBC, publishes a daily Football Gossip column) but we’d just like to reiterate that this feature should not be treated too seriously.
Slew played under Micky Adams for Sheffield United and is currently unable to break through into the first-team at Ewood Park.
He had been linked with Ross County but the media there deny any interest claiming instead that the player is “on the radar” of Port Vale.
Vale are in the market for a striker following the departures of Jordan Hugill and Gavin Tomlin and although Slew is still under contract, it is thought a loan deal or an agreement to release the player from his contract could be agreed.
