Vale sign Colin Daniel
Port Vale have announced that Mansfield Town’s Colin Daniel has joined the club on a two-year contract.
Contrary to reports elsewhere, Daniel was offered a new contract by the Stags at the end of the season, but he has opted for a move to the Valiants instead.
Daniel is the club’s first new signing of the summer. He is able to play as a left-back, left wingback or left-wing.
We’re delighted to have him on board, lots of clubs were interested in him…
Manager Micky Adams told the official website: “We’re delighted to have him on board, lots of clubs were interested in him. We’ve highlighted him and tracked him all season, and we’re sure he’ll be a great asset for us.”
Daniel added: “I had a few clubs showing their interest but as soon as Micky called me I couldn’t say no because Port Vale are obviously a big club and I’ve heard a lot of good things about the club.”
