Adams makes plea for patience
Manager Micky Adams has asked Valiants supporters to be patient as he seeks to rebuild his Port Vale squad.
Adams also says the club need a siege mentality and to prove the bookies wrong.
The Vale manager told the Sentinel: “I don’t want this to sound a negative thing, but there is a massive rebuilding job to be done here, and that is why I am asking for a little bit of patience.

“I think the bookies have already got us as third favourites to be relegated – so what we have to do is stick together and be determined to prove them wrong, like we did last season.
“Quite where they get third favourites for relegation from I don’t know.
“I think we still have some good players at the club, even though we have lost some.
“It is there for us all to have a siege mentality, a bit like Jose Mourinho has in the Premier League at Chelsea.”
