Port Vale assistant manager Mark Grew says the club’s summer tour is “very important” for the new season.
Grew told the Sentinel: “That tour was a massive thing for us when we got promoted.
“I don’t know how many new players we will have in by the time we go to Devon, but it’s great to bed them in when are away. It helps them gel and get to know the rest of the squad.
“So that week in the south west is very important to the squad, not just the new players but for the lads coming back too.
