Milton Keynes journalist Liam Andrews has spoken to OVF about how Port Vale’s next opponents are doing.

Liam tells us: “I’m not actually a fan, I report on them, I’ve lived in Milton Keynes my whole life so I’ve been keeping my eye on and attending MK games since they first moved to the National Hockey Stadium. As I loved football I had a season ticket there for a couple of years, but now I only go to complete aforementioned reports. Interested fans can take a look at citiblogmk.co.uk”
How are your team doing?
Fans were expecting a play-off place at the very least this season after last year’s disappointment and it just hasn’t happened…
Who should we watch out for?
Dele Alli. He only turned 18 years old the other day, but what a player he’s going to be. Alli has so much composure on the ball, he can tackle, he can shoot, he can pass, he plays like a young Steven Gerrard.
What are your thoughts on your manager?
He’s a good coach, but not a very good manager. Milton Keynes seem to be getting worse season by season…
He’s a good coach, but not a very good manager. Milton Keynes seem to be getting worse season by season under Karl Robinson, and while he tries to blame injuries and his lack of squad depth, it’s just not good enough. If you’ve been at a club for four years, whether or not you have money, you should be able to build a big enough squad even if it is free transfers. But there’s no doubting he’s very good at coaching young players.
What are your thoughts on your board and off-field club activities?
Milton Keynes are criticised a lot because of the way the club came about, but I do think they are brilliant for what they do in the community and for their fans. Under 12’s will go free next season [OVF comment – Ironic given Vale have made the reverse decision for next season] and that’s just one of the schemes the club are running. However, fans will be concerned with the lack of money spent considering Robinson hasn’t been able to afford to buy a couple of players from Conference sides and that just might stop the club progressing.
Any views on Port Vale?
If Chris Lines wasn’t suspended then I’d expect him to pop up and score a goal to continue the Dons’ curse of ex-players scoring against them this season.
A score prediction?
