Vale star – I’d sign new contract
Goalkeeper Chris Neal has handed the club a major boost by telling the Sentinel that he’d be very keen to agree a new contract with the club.
I want to stay, and if a contract is there on the table I will be looking to sign it…
Neal, who signed from Shrewsbury in 2012 has arguably been one of Vale’s best players in the last two years and many fans would agree that he is the club’s best goalkeeper since Mark Goodlad.
Neal is one of fourteen Vale players out of contract in the summer and he told the newspaper: “As a footballer, you try to get a contract wherever you can.
“But personally, I am more than happy at the club. I want to stay, and if a contract is there on the table I will be looking to sign it.
“There have been no talks yet, but that is my thinking.”
Neal’s stay at Vale Park so far…
