Injury boost for Vale
Micky Adams says that Rob Taylor’s injury is only a “minor setback” while Richard Duffy is poised to return to training.
Richard Duffy is progressing well, his ankle has responded well to treatment and he is back up running, so we are hoping in the next couple of weeks he will be there…
Taylor was forced off at half-time during Vale’s defeat to Brighton but Adams told the official Port Vale website: “Rob Taylor, unfortunately, has had a slight set-back, nothing major, just a slight set-back, but that’s frustrating because we thought he was fully fit.
“Carl Dickinson obviously has got to get this ban out of the way so he won’t feature .
“Richard Duffy is progressing well, his ankle has responded well to treatment and he is back up running, so we are hoping in the next couple of weeks he will be there.
“Liam Chilvers is still struggling with his groin injury and I think that is about it.”
