Adams: I’d stay but there’s no contract yet
Micky Adams has told the press that the Vale chairman now “has to deliver” a contract and if it’s suitable he’s “never expressed a desire to leave this place”
In a forthright reply to Smurthwaite’s comments about a new contract, Adams said: “Norman has put it out there in the public domain that he has offered me a contract.
I have never expressed a desire to leave this place…
“When I say he has offered me, he has talked to me about a contract. There is nothing on paper in front of me to suggest there is anything there to sign.
“I am grateful that he has offered me one, bearing in mind that he said he wasn’t going to bother until the end of the season. He has talked about it now he has to deliver.
“If he does that then I am sure I will sit down with my advisors, my solicitor, and pick the bones out of it and make sure that everything is done in the correct manner. If we do, as we have said many times before, I have never expressed a desire to leave this place.
I suppose when you win games of football you become a bit sexy, so maybe I am getting my sexy image back…
“If everything is right I don’t see there being a problem, but once again Norman is talking about things instead of doing things.”
“I suppose when you win games of football you become a bit sexy, so maybe I am getting my sexy image back.”
“What do they say, talk is cheap”
