Davis joins Luton Town on loan
Port Vale have allowed young defender Joe Davis to join Conference side Luton Town on loan until January.
Luton centre-halves Alex Lacey, Steve McNulty, Andy Parry and Anthony Charles are all either carrying knocks or have struggled with injury this year and the club were looking to add loan signings.
Davis joins West Ham’s Pelly Ruddock, also a defender, in moving to Luton on loan.
Davis, the son of Crewe manager Steve Davis made his Vale debut in 2011 but thanks to the form of Chris Robertson, Carl Dickinson, Liam Chilvers and Richard Duffy, he is yet to appear for the Vale first-team this season.
The 20 year-old has made twelve starts (plus six sub appearances) for Vale and this move will give the youngster valuable first-team experience.
