Tomlin set to see specialist
Port Vale have revealed that forward Gavin Tomlin will see a specialist to assess his toe injury after a month out of action.
Andy Foster is going to send him to a specialist to have it checked out and make sure there isn’t any damage we haven’t seen…
The 30-year-old has been out of first-team contention since mid-September after he was accidentally stamped on in training.
Assistant manager Mark Grew told the Sentinel: “The lad is still really sore.
“Andy Foster is going to send him to a specialist to have it checked out and make sure there isn’t any damage we haven’t seen.
“It’s painful even when he gets his boot on. If there’s nothing cracked then there has to be some really deep bruising there.”
Tomlin has made three starts and one sub appearance since joining on a free transfer in the summer.
