Temporary Port Vale manager Rob Page has told the press that it will be an “honour” to manage the club.
Page will be in charge while manager Micky Adams recovers from a hip operation and the first-team coach told the media: “This is an honour for me and I want the fans to know that.
“I am not taking this lightly, it is my career and what I want to eventually get into.
“I am keeping the seat warm for Micky and my approach, work rate and everything else will be what he expects and what the fans expect as well.
“I am extremely proud to be caretaker manager.”
