Tideswell: Don’t make decent fans pay the penalty
Vale columnist Martin Tideswell says that shutting the Railway Paddock because of the action of a tiny minority of fans “would do nothing but penalise the vast majority of decent fans.”
I think closing the Railway Paddock because of the bone-head behaviour of a handful of fans would be the proverbial sledgehammer to crack a nut…
Tideswell comments that: “I think that each case needs to be examined on its merits and I think closing the Railway Paddock because of the bone-head behaviour of a handful of fans would be the proverbial sledgehammer to crack a nut.
Apart from the fact that I’m not convinced it would solve the problem – should it re-occur – it seems an entirely disproportionate response…”
