Reserves get chance to impress
Manager Micky Adams will monitor Tuesday’s reserve game against Shrewsbury Town after Saturday’s poor performance against Colchester.
Four or five will be pushing for it and I am sure they will put themselves forward…
The Valiants are likely to make changes for the home game against Bradford and wingers Kaid Mohammed (pictured) and Jennison Myrie-Williams may be given the chance to demonstrate their skills in the reserve outing.
Squad players Chris Shuker, Chris Birchall and Louis Dodds could also feature and bid to impress the Vale management team.
Assistant Mark Grew told the Sentinel: “It is up to the individuals to produce the performance the manager wants.
“If they don’t give a good performance and put themselves forward then there is something wrong.
“Four or five will be pushing for it and I am sure they will put themselves forward.”
The reserve game takes place at the Greenhous Meadow at 2pm on Tuesday afternoon.
