The Port Vale ‘tinkerman’
Manager Micky Adams has ruled out wholesale changes for the visit to Colchester United but admits he may “tinker” with his side.
We won’t be making wholesale changes, but we will maybe tinker with it just a little bit…
Speaking to the official Port Vale website Adams said: “I think we will make one or two changes on Saturday, I think we have got one or two players who have managed to get through the first five days of the season.
“That third game might be slightly too much for them – we won’t be making wholesale changes, but we will maybe tinker with it just a little bit.”
The Valiants have lined-up with an unchanged starting eleven in their opening two games of the season. However, Vale suffered from defensive injuries in the build-up to the season and the “two changes” could involve fullbacks Adam Yates and Dan Jones who both suffered with injuries before the Brentford game.
