According to reports in the Sentinel, Anthony Griffith will find out whether he has a future at Leyton Orient in the next week.
Griffith left Vale for Orient in the summer of 2012 but returned for a successful loan spell in 2013.
The midfielder is still contracted to Orient for another year but having lost his place in the O’s starting line-up there is speculation that Griffith could be allowed to leave.
Vale are in the market for a midfielder having lost Ryan Burge at the end of last season, Sam Morsy in the summer and skipper Doug Loft’s future in the balance.
