Loft: We weren’t good enough
Captain Doug Loft has echoed the views of manager Micky Adams after the home defeat to Exeter City. Loft told the Sentinel that “We weren’t good enough” and that “we’ve got to look what we’ve done wrong and go again.”
It was all dealt with in the dressing room because everyone is working for the same thing and that’s promotion…
Earlier in the week, Adams had said that the side had “got what they deserved” following the 2-0 loss and Loft agrees with the manager’s sentiments.
He told the newspaper: “We weren’t good enough and a few boys said things at the end – a few things needed to be said
“It was all dealt with in the dressing room because everyone is working for the same thing and that’s promotion. Everyone wants that and that’s what we’re trying to get.
“It’s a loss and I don’t think it should be over exaggerated, but we’ve got to look what we’ve done wrong and go again.
“We need characters from now until the end of the season and I think we’ve got enough of them.”
