McCombe could miss Plymouth match
Central defender and stand-in skipper John McCombe is an early doubt for the home match against Plymouth Argyle on January 5th.
McCombe was forced off after twenty minutes of the defeat to Fleetwood and the club have confirmed that the 27 year-old had injured a medial knee ligament.
Vale are well stocked in central defence with Clayton McDonald, Joe Davis and Gareth Owen all possibiles to replace McCombe if he fails to make Saturday’s game

Poor home game on Saturday again! Adams seems permanently bemused that other managers can sus out his predictable tactics & counter them . Is it that he stubbornly reuses to take on board coaches advice. Maybe we should take on Radio Stoke’s Mick Cullerton or even old man Rudge?
