Adams still to decide on squad additions
Manager Micky Adams has told the press that he will sit down with Port Vale’s owners to discuss transfer targets but they “haven’t had that conversation yet.”
Do I want to bring any players in? Yes, of course I do. But that’s me when we’ve lost a game;;.
Adams may look to bring in new faces after hinting that he feels the squad needs strengthening. He told the press: “Maybe we’ve papered over the cracks and got away with it in the first half of the season. Maybe we won’t quite do that in the second half.”
Adams added: “We’ll sit down and analyse what we’ve done so far, assess all areas of the squad and then decide what we want to do.
“I haven’t had that conversation yet with Paul and Norman .
“Everybody’s getting excited about the transfer window, but we’ll take a rational decision about everything once the emotion of this game has gone and we can think a bit clearer.
“At this moment, do I want to bring any players in? Yes, of course I do. But that’s me when we’ve lost a game.”
