The Port Vale Supporters Club says that the club’s administrators and preferred bidder Paul Wildes have set a date of the 20th November to complete Wildes’ takeover of the club.
A statement begins: “Port Vale Supporters’ Club representatives have held further talks with preferred bidder Norman Smurthwaite as we await Football League confirmation of the takeover. Last week the preferred bidders held very positive talks with the Football League and Mr Smurthwaite along with the administrators have also confirmed they have agreed a final completion of the sale by 20th November for the purchase of Port Vale FC.
“A ‘wish-list’ containing more than 200 suggestions from Vale fans for Mr Smurthwaite and his business partner Paul Wildes was handed over following their request for information from the fan base.
“These included improvements to Vale Park, marketing suggestions and ideas on match day and season ticket pricing, catering and how PVFC interacts with local communities.”
