Midfielder joins Vale on two month deal
Port Vale have confirmed the signing of midfielder Sean McAllister on a short-team deal and the midfielder will be in the Vale squad to face Southend.
Vale are missing five players through injury or suspension and are particularly hard hit in central midfield where Doug Loft, Sam Morsy and Darren Murphy are all unavailable.
Vale required clearance from the Football League to sign him as the club remains in administration.
But with the retirement of Lewis Haldane, the club’s administrators were able to successfully argue that there was a need to add an addition player to the ranks.
According to a report on the official Port Vale website, McAllister is likely to be on the bench for the Southend game.
