Adams hints at new signing
Port Vale manager Micky Adams has given a broad hint that the Valiants may make an addition to their squad ahead of Saturday’s game with Southend United.
Injuries and suspensions have restricted Vale to just fifteen available first-team players and as the club are still in administration a restriction on transfers into the club remains in place.
But Adams has told the official Port Vale website that the club’s administrators have spoken to the Football League about getting special dispensation to bring in a player on loan.
Adams told the official website: “From the eighteen in the squad the other night, we have lost three of them. We have lost Doug Loft, Darren Murphy and Sam Morsy, so we’re down to fifteen.
“We are speaking to the Football League and when we have got something to announce, we will announce it.
“The Administrator has been in and he has spoken to the Football League so we will see what we can do. If we can bring another body in before Saturday, then we will try our best to do so.”
