Six for the first-team and now five for the reserves…
Port Vale reserves followed the first-team’s 6-2 win over Rotherham Utd with a 5-1 defeat of Bradford City on Wednesday evening.
Ben Williamson was the star turn with a double strike, including a penalty.
Midfielder Ryan Burge gave the Valiants the lead after just eight minutes with a long-range effort.
City managed to get themselves on level terms in the game when McHugh rose unchallenged to head home Baker’s near post delivery before Williamson put Vale ahead on the half-hour mark. The striker netted from the penalty spot after Kingsley James was fouled in the box.
Williamson then made it safe with an angled drive just before the break.
Vale’s victory was wrapped up thanks to second-half strikes from sub Ollie Marland and midfielder Kingsley James.
