Taylor training with Valiants
Former Vale left-back Kris Taylor is training with the club and took part in the 3-1 friendly win over Stafford Rangers.
Vale are in the market for a left-back following the departure of Lee Collins, but there is no indication from the club that Taylor will be offered a deal.
The 28 year-old joined Vale in July 2009, initially on trial until a £5,000 donation from the Vale Volunteers groups helped turn the move into a short-term deal. He subsequently signed a contract extension until the end of the 2009-2010 season.
Taylor stayed on for the following season, but was released in May 2011 after 64 starts, 11 sub appearances and 4 goals.
The left-sided player then joined former Vale player Marc Bridge-Wilkinson at Blue Square Bet Premier side Darlington only for the club to fold resulting in Taylor’s current free agent status.
