Council 'disappointed' at Vale Park delay
Stoke-on-Trent city council have told the Sentinel newspaper that they are “disappointed” at delays to the club’s takeover after the council revealed that the bill for the club’s spell in administration is likely to top the £1m mark.
The council put the club into administration and are meeting the running costs.
Council leader Mohammed Pervez told the newspaper: “We are disappointed in the delays completing the deal as it must be a great frustration for the football club, fans and staff.
“But it’s the administrators’ role to pursue alternative plans in the best interests of the club and its creditors.”
