Adams: we are missing out on transfer targets
In a candid interview with the Sentinel, manager Micky Adams says that Port Vale are missing out on new signings while the club remains in administration.
Keith Ryder’s bid to takeover the Valiants has yet to be finalised by the Football League and Adams told the newspaper: “I’ve spoken to a lot of players, even though I’ve not been able to sign them.
“They know Port Vale is still in administration and some of them have been uncomfortable with that, which is understandable.
“We have missed out on a few players because of it, but I am still confident we’ll get others in.
“Some of those I have been interested in are now waiting to see what happens – whether Keith eventually takes over and when.
“But make no mistake about it, Port Vale is still an attractive proposition for players.”
