Dodds and Shuker agree Vale deals
Attacker Louis Dodds and wideman Chris Shuker have become the sixth and seventh Port Vale players to agree new contracts with the club.
25 year-old Dodds played 38 games last season, scoring eight goals, including five in the final thirteen games. His deal has yet to be officially confirmed but the player claimed a deal was done via Twitter.
Shuker, aged 30, made 16 appearances, scoring once. He has agreed a two-year deal.
The duo join Rob Taylor, Ben Williamson, Lewis Haldane, Sam Johnson and Clayton McDonald in agreeing new contracts.
The news will come as some relief to Vale fans, who have been disappointed to see Anthony Griffith, Marc Richards and Sean Rigg leave the club.
However, despite this double deal, Vale are still waiting for John McCombe, Kingsley James, Stuart Tomlinson, Tom Pope, Joe Davis and Ryan Lloyd to accept new contracts at the club.
