D-day for Valiant bidders
Interested bidders in Port Vale football club have until 12 noon on Monday to submit their formal offer to the club’s administrators.
The financially-stricken club has been in the hands of administrators Begsbies-Traynor since the 9th March and the group announced last week that the deadline for bids would be noon on Monday 2nd April.
Most interest will focus around local businessman Mo Chaudry who, according to reports, has not yet submitted a bid. Chaudry tried to take control of the club in the summer of 2011 and many Vale supporters feel that his ownership would be the best way forward for the club.
However, there are a number of other bidders also interested although they have remained anonymous until this point. Once a bid is accepted as the administrators’ preferred bidder, it is expected that the bidders will reveal their identity shortly afterwards.
Until then… Vale fans face a nervous wait until the administrators reveal just who they think should be in charge of their football club.
