Bradford City 1-1 Port Vale
Louis Dodds scored a candidate for goal of the season but Vale failed to make it three wins on the trot after Andrew Davies equalised in injury time.
Micky Adams made one change to the starting line-up restoring Louis Dodds to the starting line-up replacing the injured Rob Taylor. New signings Paul Marshall and Chris Shuker made the bench alongside fit again Gareth Owen.
It was mostly a dour opening half with few chances for both sides until five minutes from the break, Dodds’ brilliant volley put the Valiants into the lead. It was Dodds’ third goal of the season.
Clear cut chances remained at a premium although Vale did have half chances for Rigg and Richards in the second period.
But just as Vale were looking to celebrate their third successive win, Davies popped up with a headed goal to earn Bradford a point.
