Vale in Fortune talks
Martin Foyle has revealed that he has not given up hope of signing on-loan centre-half Clayton Fortune.
After a sluggish start, the defender has been a revelation in recent weeks and was deservedly named as the club’s player of the month.
Foyle is keen to add the giant defender on a permanent deal and although Fortune has also expressed interest in a move, Bristol City are so far refusing to budge.
It’s thought that the deal is stalling over the size of the fee payable for the 23 year-old and possible removal of sell-on clauses for Steve Brooker’s transfer as part of the deal.
However, Foyle has told the local press that talks between the two clubs will continue after the weekend and he is still hopeful of landing the London-born player.||
