Port Vale sign Daryl McMahon

After the gloom of the weekend, it is great to report some positive news. Vale have signed midfielder Daryl McMahon while defender Michael Walsh is close to completing his record-breaking 99th return from a long-term injury.

McMahon, previously on the books of West Ham is a young left-sided midfielder. He is not eligible for the LDV Vans game against Barnsley but may come into contention for the trip to Colchester.

Walsh is recovering from a neck injury sustained against Barnsley last season. The centre-half is expected to play in Vale’s reserve clash against Walsall on Wednesday.
