Sponsorship Deal Secures OVF’s Future
Two generous Vale supporters have come to the aid of www.onevalefan.co.uk and their assistance should solve our recent bandwidth problems once and for all.
Bandwidth Problems Over?
Two generous Vale supporters have come to the aid of onevalefan.co.uk and their assistance should solve our recent bandwidth problems.
This website has been suffering bandwidth problems due to the sheer numbers of Vale fans visiting to check on the latest headlines and to air their views in the forum. Last month, the site editor had to pay a considerable fee due to excess bandwidth usage.
In recent days, two Port Vale supporters, who are avid viewers of the website, have offered to sponsor onevalefan, providing a dedicated server for the site (which will allow a far greater bandwidth usage) and also paying a considerable percentage of our hosting costs.
We hope that we can seal this sponsorship deal and move to the new server as soon as possible. The move should allow onevalefan.co.uk to continue to operate without the fear of running up large fees for excess bandwidth.
We will update viewers if the site needs to be temporarily shut during any transition to the new server.
Note: The site will still be available through the url www.onevalefan.co.uk even after it has moved to the new server.
Thanks to Contributers
onevalefan.co.uk would also like to express its sincere thanks to viewers who have kindly donated to this site in recent days. We have been unable to thank each individual contributer in person, but we are grateful to you all.
The donations will be used to clear our last month’s large payment for excess bandwidth usage and to pay for our site’s future hosting costs.
The site editor would also like to thank the onevalefan moderating staff for their help with monitoring the site’s bandwidth usage during the recent problems.
Donations are Still Needed
The onevalefan site is brought to you free-of-charge and costs a considerable amount of money to produce.
This generous offer to sponsor our bandwidth will considerably help our finances but we are always grateful for fan donations which will help us with purchasing images, scripts and advertising the site (e.g. we will be purchasing several new scripts in the near future and arranging advertising for the new season).
You can continue to donate through the links dotted about the site and all donations will be gratefully received.
Future Looks Bright
The new server should enable this website to add even more features to keep Vale fans entertained.
We hope to bring in a range of new fun features including interactive chat and a brand-new prediction league before the start of the new season.
Watch this space…
