Port Vale Eye League Cash Boost
The Valiants are confident of securing a £50,000 grant from the Football League in the next fortnight.
The Vale also hope to secure a further £50,000 payment within the next six weeks and are also eyeing a potential end to the transfer embargo.
The payments were made to Second Division clubs in the summer of 2003, but the Valiants did not qualify for the payment as they could not satisfy the league’s finance’s requirements, so soon after coming out of administration.
The first payment of £50,000 will be paid after the Valiants satisfy the league that they have sold £500,000 worth of shares.
The second payment and any subsequent lifting of the transfer embargo will depend on the club providing a satisfactory business plan to League officials.
The plan will have to show the Football League that the club will be financially secure for next season.
