Tom Lyons

Tom Lyons was a full-back who began his career with Aston Villa with whom he won the League Championship in 1910. After eight years and over two hundred appearances for the Villains, World War One brought football to an end. He then joined Port Vale FC in January 1917, initially as a guest player. He remained with the club until 1922 making 74 appearances and scoring once. He then moved on to Walsall as a player coach.
