Hamil Road Ladies, the Port Vale women’s team run by the Port Vale Community Trust, kicked off 2014 in style by beating Lichfield City 7-2 on Sunday afternoon.
Hamil Road Ladies team have been hailed as “exceptional since day one” by manager Martyn Cooke after the Port Vale offshoot continued their strong start to the season.
Hamil Road Ladies have made a promising start to their debut season in the Staffordshire County Women’s League after picking up four points from their opening two fixtures.
This weekend marks the start of a new era at Port Vale as the new senior women’s football team kicks off their season for the very first time this Sunday.
