Former Port Vale record signing Billy Bingham passes away
Northern Ireland International Billy Bingham, who joined the Valiants for a then club record fee of £15,000 in 1963, has sadly passed away aged 90.

Billy Bingham was a Northern Ireland International who had played for Sunderland, Luton Town and Everton. He earned 56 caps for his country and would later become manager of the side.
Bingham had a final spell with Port Vale FC until his playing career was ended by injury. Bingham joined the club in 1963 but he was sadly forced to retire from playing in 1965 after 43 appearances and three goals for the Valiants.
