Adam Crookes is a defender who first joined Port Vale on loan from Nottingham Forest in January 2018 after a previous loan spell with Lincoln City. Crookes was a success playing mostly as a left-back and the move was then made permanent in the summer of 2019. Crookes, who can also play as a centre-back, signed a two-year deal with the club which would keep him at the Valiants until 2021.
