Vale: please turn up early
Port Vale FC have been in contact with OVF and are appealing for fans to turn up early for the final home game of the season on Saturday.
The system does not allow junior tickets to be allocated seat numbers and so if seat numbers were enforced then there would be the possibility of children being separated from parents, which would not be a sensible move…
The club are expecting a bumper crowd for the game against Northampton and therefore ask fans to allow plenty of time to arrive at the ground and to locate a place to seat.
Vale would also like to reiterate that only season ticket holder’s seats are reserved for this game.
The club appreciate that this has caused some confusion among fans. Unfortunately, there has not been enough time to revamp the outdated ticketing system inherited from previous regimes and it was therefore not possible to give allocated seats to everyone for this game.
A club spokesperson explained to OVF that the system does not allow junior tickets to be allocated seat numbers and so if seat numbers were enforced then there would be the possibility of children being separated from parents, which would not be a sensible move.
The club have assured OVF that a complete revamp of the ticketing system is on its way very soon and it will be possible to offer allocated seating to all next season.
