Midfielder Sean McAllister will leave Vale Park on the 8th January when his short-term loan deal expires.
The 25 year-old joined on a short-term contract in November but has not featured in the first-team since the start of December and he has now been deemed surplus to requirements.
Manager Micky Adams told the official Port Vale website: “It’s unfortunate that we weren’t able to offer Sean more first-team opportunities but that underlines the competition for places we have among the squad.
“He’s a great professional and we wish him the very best of luck for the future.”
McAllister made one start and two sub appearances for the Valiants.
