Chris Mbamba International call-up: winger, one of the many maligned signings by former Vale manager Bruno Ribeiro, has received an International call-up up by the Kenyan national team.
Chris Mbamba was signed from the Norwegian lower leagues by former Port Vale manager Ribeiro and spent the 2016-17 season with the Valiants. However, he made just eleven first team appearances before being released just one year into his two-year deal.
The winger is now with Oskarshamns AIK in the Swedish Division One.
Mbamba was born to a Namibian father and Kenyan mother in Zimbabwe but moved to Sweden at a young age. He has appeared for Sweden Internationally at U17 and U20 level but has been called up into the Kenyan squad for the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying match against Ghana.
