He told the official Port Vale website: “We’ve grafted out the win towards the end and it was good to get a clean sheet.
“We’ve done what the manager asked us to do and we’ve managed to get the result which is important to us.
“It’s a confidence booster. I’m starting to get some confidence and some form.”
