Trio set to return for Vale’s must-win game against Walsall

Key trio Anthony Grant, Jerome Thomas and Ben Purkiss could all return for Vale’s Boxing Day clash against Walsall.

All three could go straight into the starting eleven after an inexperienced Vale side were swept away by Wimbledon on Saturday.

Grant has completed his suspension while Thomas and Purkiss are training again after injuries.
