Port Vale have been dealt a blow for the remainder of the season after the FA decided to ban Anthony Grant for three games.
Grant has received a three-match ban after collecting 15 yellow cards this campaign.
The midfielder collected his fifteenth booking of the season when he was cautioned for timewasting in injury time during the Vale’s 2-0 win at Gillingham in League One on Saturday.
It means that his place in the side is likely to be taken by veteran Michael Brown.
