With a new season comes a requirement to reassess ticketing at the club. Economic pressures certainly haven’t eased since the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign. So, as was likely expected by many, prices have increased.
Luckily, the pricing changes haven’t been as extreme as at other clubs and the news on season tickets will be welcomed. Plus, fans have clearly enjoyed the news and new look of the kits for the 2026/27 season.
With Robbie Williams coming in as the official front-of-shirt sponsor, they flew off the racks. More than 2,000 shirts were sold in just the first two hours, which will be a great help to the club going forward.
Even so, to help spur ticket sales for games going forward and welcome new fans, the club may want to consider upping its marketing efforts.

Overall, matchday tickets have seen around a £2 increase on 2025/26 figures. However, there are still plenty of free ticket opportunities, such as for carers who sit in the Paddock, Hamil Stand, Railway Stand, or Lorne Street.
Around those, adult tickets that were £25 for a Hamil, Railway, or Paddock seat have been pushed up to £27, which marks a 6.75 per cent increase. The old Lorne Street Price of £26 is now £28 for a 7.28 per cent bump.
Senior tickets have seen a similar increase. The Hamil, Railway, and Paddock seats have moved from £19 to £21, with the £20 Lorne Street tickets now costing £22 at the ticket office.
However, there is a new ticket type brought in to encourage more families to attend matches. A Family Duo ticket costs £33 for two tickets, while a Family Ticket gets four tickets for £62.
It’s a strong move from Port Vale FC, offering a cheaper way to get more people into the ground and, hopefully, generating more long-term interest in the club. Promotions like this can do a lot to boost attendances at games.
Freezing Season Ticket Prices
Season tickets are the lifeblood of every club in England. Getting these sold early can offer a strong look at the financial state of play for the months to come. So, with matchday tickets going up, you’d expect these to rise, too.
In May 2025, the club was proud to announce a second season of frozen ticket prices. This year, they’ve done it again. Adult season tickets average the matchday ticket price out at £14.56, and again, there are free ones available.
It’s a great line for the club to tout, but perhaps more could be done to push the tickets. After all, the decision was made to extend the early bird prices for the 2026/27 launch.
One approach might be to offer new season ticket buyers a welcome offer of sorts. It’s common practice in online entertainment, such as at online casinos that host slingo bingo games and other popular games. Giving 200 free spins on selected titles to those who deposit £10 gives an extra incentive to try the games. A promotion could work with season tickets, but new fans could also be encouraged to come to matches with promos for certain fixtures expected to have a lower attendance.
With tickets getting an increase at the gates, perhaps Port Vale FC will consider running some promo days this season, be it with special ticket prices or events within the ground.
