New signing Kyle Dempsey aims to “bring the club some success”

Summer signing Kyle Dempsey says the “main reason” he has signed for the Valiants is to bring success to the club.

The former Bolton man has signed a two year contract.

Speaking to the inhouse media team PVTV, Dempsey commented: “I’m absolutely buzzing.  I think the main reason I’ve come here is to bring the club some success. That’s the main reason I’ve signed especially after speaking to the gaffer.”

As to why he picked Vale Dempsey said: “The main point has to be the gaffer. I had a long conversation with him, where he wants me to come in, my role in the team, where he wants me to play was just music to my ears.”

The new signing aims to be a leader on and off the pitch adding: “He obviously spoke to people and people have given a character reference. He wants me to drive standards and be a leader. I don’t allow sloppy standards. I am going to make sure everything is absolutely done correctly.”

The midfielder aims to give “110% effort. Don’t shy away from tackles and non-stop in my energy. I’d like to get back to a decent number of goals and assists. The fans will see someone who plays for the badge.”
