Port Vale have announced that former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Kyle Dempsey has become their fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
The 30 year-old has extensive League One experience including fourteen goals in 119 appearances for Wanderers. He has agreed a two year deal with the Valiants.
Manager Jon Brady commented: “Kyle was someone we identified because he has the qualities we’re looking to build our team around. He’s fiercely competitive, a natural leader and someone who sets high standards every single day. With the ball, he has real quality. He sees passes, creates opportunities for others and has the ability to influence games in the final third. He brings energy, intelligence and experience to our midfield, while also having the drive and desire to keep improving.
“Just as importantly, Kyle’s character fits exactly what we’re building at Port Vale. He’ll help drive standards within the group, lead by example and add a winning mentality to the dressing room. We’re delighted to welcome him to the football club and can’t wait to get to work with him.”
Dempsey joins Jackson Smith, Jasper Moon and Matty Craig as new additions to the squad this summer.
